Philosophy of fundraising
The goal of fundraising is to tell the story of what God is doing as clearly, compellingly, and faithfully as possible to as many people and in as many ways as possible — with the understanding that, as God is in the work, God will move in the hearts of enough people to join in the work financially —and when they do give, we should make it as easy and rewarding as possible to give.

We help craft and celebrate the story God is writing in your midst, ensuring that the message is clear, compelling, and faithful, with a particular view towards major donor development (high net worth individuals and families, churches, and foundations) and securing recurring donations.
Strategy
From developing annual fundraising campaigns, to identifying practical opportunities for further growth, we work to create a holistic fundraising strategy to raise the funds you need while also ministering to your donors.
Tools
We can perform an audit on your current fundraising tools (emails, hard mail, website, proposals, donor reports, etc) to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. We can also develop effective tools for the cultivation of small and large gifts.
Coaching
Fundraising provides an incredible opportunity for ministry, and like all ministry, it’s often more enjoyable, effective, and sustainable when done in community with others who understand the pressures you face.

Mark Howard, the founder of Whitworth Howard, LLC, combines years of professional fundraising, church ministry, and training in biblical and theological education in his approach to the ministry of fundraising.
For Mark, fundraising isn’t just about raising money — it’s about serving your donors while also inspiring more people grow in wonder at the many ways God is at work in this world.
A Bible nerd at heart, Mark has both his B.A. in Biblical Studies and M.A. in Theology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.
